Farm/ Hacienda opportunities

Hello All,
Here is another story of someone wanting to visit and relocate/ invest in Ecuador.
I am not quite ready to retire, and still have some useful life left in my bones :).
But looking to prepare and one option is Ecuador. I do plan to visit in a month or so and am looking for advice from those in the country about farming as a sustainable way to live there.
I am looking at all the options from coffee, cocoa, teak, bamboo, bananas, other commercially viable fruits to rotational crops and palm oil. Must have a positive ROI in 3 years. I would also eventually like to purchase a house on/ near the beach and so the farm, ideally, should be within a 1 hr drive.
Besides "I have a farm for sale" advice, I am looking for information where different things are grown traditionally in Ecuador, on how hard it is to hire and retain the local workforce, how do you sell/ ship your product out, get preorders, etc (is there an ag exchange). How is the "mafia" and what do they let you do, and what do they not let you do. When are you interfering with their turf?
I don't have multi millions, or even 1/2 a million :). looking in the $150K max range.
Also, since you cannot import a car or truck, how do you go about getting a tractor and trucking out your harvest? I saw pics of huge longbed semi trucks hauling out lumber which I suppose you would hire and where are the processing and packaging done?
Yes I know these are a lot of questions, and I appreciate honest answers. I have been living overseas now for several years for a job and am being relocated back to the US in a few days. Once settled, I will head out to Ecuador.
As with other posts I have read, please keep your responses civil. I don't mind disagreements with what is said, but please do be civil about any "negative" responses.
Thank you!
