Planning to visit ecuador for 3 weeks to ascertain if this is the place for us to settle

Considering having access to good private health care and having a view of the ocean/living close to the sea represent one retirement dream would this be possible to achieve in Ecuador?

As we are planning to visit Ecuador for 3 weeks (Inland and coast) next year to ascertain if this is the place for us to settle in what would be the ideal itinerary to help us conclude one way or the other? We would be wanting to look at real estate/rental accomodation, health care, ocean and inland town/cities to way up all scenarios/compromises.
