Mooving from Canada-Should I ship my car?

We are moving to Al Ain towards the end of next month and have been told by people not to bring many cloths as it is very inexpensive to have them made over there. I was just wondering if we ship our car it would be smart way to do or not, the car I have is Ford 2001, we are coming from Canada, how much it cost to buy something like what I have, there are American cars there? Is easy to find the spare part if we ship it? I was also wondering if anyone has any tips on what to bring with me, things that I cannot get in UAE, or things that are cost more over there. Any help or advice would be appreciated.
