My Husband and I and our dog are moving to Limerick from Syracuse, NY for 3 months for him to do research at the law school there. Does anyone have suggestions about who to contact to find a short-term furnished rental for 3 months.
We have been looking at the limited web sites, but wondered if realtors handle these kinds of requests.
Any suggestions?

Yes, many Estate Agents do handle apartment rentals. For 3 months may be tougher, but you can ask. I think the problem comes with agent's commission. Usual would be for a year, but maybe they have some short term due to schools there. You might check with school also.

Have you tried the Sabbatical Homes site? US based. They do houseswaps but also rentals for academics (but not exclusively so). My friend living in North Carolina has recently rented a place for six weeks in Dublin. Worth a look.

Hello,

You might try www.daft.ie. It's a good search tool for rentals and purchases.
Will your husband's research be at the University of Limerick's Law School?
I work at the University and may be able to help you with campus related resources, and would be happy to assist you with finding a rental that will work for you. We know how challenging it is getting here, having moved from Upstate NY in 2015... Please feel free to contact me at Mark.Fontaine-Westhart@ul.ie

Kind Regards,

Mark Fontaine-Westhart
