Summary: The cost of living in Amsterdam, Netherlands is generally considered to be quite high. A nice one bedroom apartment in Amsterdam can cost anywhere from $1,500 to $2,500 per month, while a nice two bedroom apartment can cost anywhere from $2,000 to $3,500 per month. The cost of dinner at a moderately priced restaurant in Amsterdam can range from $15 to $30 per person.

"The cost of living in Amsterdam is generally considered to be high, with prices for basic necessities such as food, housing, and transportation being significantly higher than in other parts of the Netherlands. Renting an apartment in the city center can be expensive, and the cost of groceries is also higher than in other parts of the country. Public transportation is relatively affordable, however, and there are plenty of cultural activities and attractions that are free or low-cost," wrote a person living in Amsterdam.
