We asked expats and digital nomads what they appreciate the most about the local culture in France. They wrote...

"Expatriates in France appreciate the country's rich cultural heritage, including its art and architecture, as well as the strong sense of fashion and style. They also value the greater emphasis on family life and the appreciation of slower-paced living. Additionally, many expats have praised the country's excellent cuisine and the wide variety of regional specialties. The relaxed and convivial atmosphere of French leisure activities, such as picnics and outdoor cafes, is yet another highlight for expatriates," mentioned another expat when asked about moving to France.

"In France, there really is time to stop and smell the roses, and when one does things here, one does them fully, instead of splitting attention in 5 directions at once. Mealtime is meant for good food and fellowship. Weekends are meant for enjoyment (not bringing work home). In general, the culture is more slow and appreciative of simple pleasures," commented one expat who made the move to Epinal, France.
