construction accident

Currently I'm in Makati spending a wonderful time with my gf and seeing the beauty and wonders of the Philipines. While on our morning exercise walk we were passed by 2 fire trucks, 4 ambulances, 10 or so police vehicles and several vehicles carrying rescue workers. With this activity we knew something terrible had happened. As we walked down the street more we could see all of the vehicles stopped at a construction site across the street from St. Luke's Hospital on 5th Ave. Whatever happened caused the local media to send out a video crew. As we reached the site and began asking the people standing and watching we found out that a large section of scaffold had fallen onto approximately 40 people on the ground below. Since the building is under construction and is only 5 stories tall, the scaffolding may have fallen from that height. We don't know if the scaffolding fell from 5 stories up or from a lower floor or if it was 5 stories of scaffolding. We also aren't positive of the 40 people injured, this is what we were told by the bystanders.
What I am saying is, being on this site we are all attached to the Philippines and it's wonderful people one way or another. So after reading this take a few seconds to say a little prayer for the safety of those workers and their families. They could use some help from the man upstairs.
Unfortunately this is all I know of the incident. You could probably Google it and learn more than I know. All I'm asking is for the small prayer.
