Italian Citizenship for US Citizen

Good Afternoon,

My father was born in Italy.

Can anyone tell me the exact documents needed for me to pursue my Italian citizenship as a US citizen ?

Also, I was told the documents need to be translated into Italian.
Does anyone know where this can be done?

Thank you

A key question is: was your father already naturalized in the USA when you were born? Did this happen before or after 1991?

Yes. This happened before 1991 and he was a US citizen prior to my birth.
